Jen Soltys
I build automation systems and small web apps. I don't write the code. I direct Claude Code and n8n, so my job is the spec, the stack, and noticing what the model got wrong before it ships. 397 projects in the last ten months, though plenty of those are single HTML files. The ones that took real work have auth, Stripe billing, and a self-hosted n8n instance running 145 workflows behind them. Most of my tooling exists because something annoyed me: a copy checker that fails my own drafts when they read like AI wrote them, and a memory system so I'm not re-explaining the same standing rules every session. Before this I spent fifteen years on a food and lifestyle blog. I grew it on organic search, ran the whole thing myself, and sold it in 2025.

- Shipped 397 projects in ten months, including 30 live web apps, 145 production n8n workflows, 38 internal content tools, and four production blogs.
- Self-hosted n8n on a Hostinger VPS and integrated it with Claude Code through the n8n-mcp server, giving live workflow API access and 1,236 node definitions for chat-driven automation deployment.
- Productized first creator tool (embeddable giveaway widget) with a three-tier pricing model spanning DIY template, per-use concierge, and hosted SaaS, plus a built-in affiliate program.
- Designed and shipped a reusable gamified web app system across five Cloudflare Workers + D1 apps: shared auth, Stripe billing, JWT-based pro-status handoff, and a custom CSS+SVG character system.
- Built a custom Pinterest content pipeline with per-blog AI pin generators (Seeding Serendipity, Jen Tried It, Jen8n) and an n8n workflow handling pin creation and scheduled distribution, replacing prior Tailwind dependency.
- Built a live Studio Catalog dashboard (Airtable + Cloudflare-hosted) auto-rendering documentation for every shipped build.
- Founded A Magical Mess as a lifestyle and food blog and grew it into a profitable, traffic-driven content business over 15 years, then negotiated and executed the acquisition of its core web assets in August 2025.
- Drove organic search growth through hands-on SEO across the full lifecycle: keyword research, on-page optimization, schema markup, technical audits, internal linking, and continuous adaptation through 15 years of Google algorithm updates.
- Built and maintained the brand's social audience across Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and X, with Pinterest as a primary referral driver via pin design, board strategy, Tailwind-scheduled distribution, and community engagement.
- Owned the full WordPress stack: hosting, theme and plugin management, page speed and Core Web Vitals tuning, image optimization, and an email subscriber list managed across Kit and Flodesk with regular newsletter campaigns.
- Managed monetization with Mediavine display advertising (a traffic-qualified premium ad network), multiple affiliate programs, and sponsored content with FTC-compliant disclosures across hundreds of posts.
- Made content and traffic decisions from Google Analytics and Search Console data, and maintained an editorial calendar balancing evergreen and trending content across multiple categories.
- Architected the full operational infrastructure: QuickBooks-based financial management, payroll, vendor contracts, tax documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Built automated workflows for high-volume content scheduling, eliminating the need for additional headcount as the publishing cadence scaled.
- Managed all asset management, brand decisions, and product positioning through to a successful exit.
